Disappointed

Well I believe I would have to recommend that people do not buy a Cararra belt due to the lack of any customer service what-so-ever.  I was supposed to have the new waist band and string shopped out by Dec. 15th.  So far nothing saying it was shipped.  I have e-mailed them multiple times just to get an update with no response.  I would think it would be fairly simple to send this out it is not like it is a whole new belt, and this has been going on since May.  The product seems to be well made and it should be for the price, but if there is no customer service it cannot be successful.  Hopefully they will make good on their promises, but as of now avoid them if you can.

Incomplete Review

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated the blog.  There have been a lot of things that have prevented me of doing a full review.  First off, even though I got a personal fitting for this belt it wasn’t with Walter the owner and designer of the belt.  Seems the waistband I got was too big and even on the tightest setting I was able to pull it over my hips.  This really made the belt ineffective.  So I did recently met with Walter when he was back in Chicago and I am getting a new waistband sent to me which should help me do a proper review.  Here is s preliminary review of my experience so far based on my four criteria:

Comfort:  This is hard to say, along with the waist band being to big we determined the crotch string was too short, because of this the waist band was pulled down on top of my his painfully so after a few hours.  I’m also getting a longer string being sent so I think that will help.  Another problem I’ve had is where the waist band connects to the locking protector in front there is can be some painful pinching of the skin between the band and the plate.  I was able to solve this myself by wrapping some vet tape around those two connection points.  Going to the bathroom is ok and getting the belt clean while on is ok, but I haven’t had it on long enough to really test that.

Security:  Hard to say.  I believe it would be a very effective device if sized right.

Quality of construction:  Seems very good.  This is a intimidating belt and I think will offer may years of use will some routine maintenance.

Customer service:  Well I can’t say I’ve been happy here.  The gentleman who did the first fitting was real quick to get back to my e-mails but he wasn’t really able to do anything to fix the fitting problem.  Walter never got back to me, which was frustrating.  So it took 6 months to meet up with him in Chicago then he didn’t have the right style of belt with him so now I’m waiting another 2 months to get that.  I think we could have fixed it over e-mail and he had responded earlier.  Plus now I’m going to have to do all of the bending myself where originally they did a lot of it with some special tools they had created, this is thick steel on the carrara belt and hard to bend.  I will say Walter is very nice fellow and took ownership of the fitting issues and is fixing them without any problems.

Sorry the review is incomplete once I get my new waist belt and string in the next month and do all the necessary bending then I will embark on the weeklong challenge of wearing it continuously.  I think then I will be able to give an accurate review.

Introduction

The concept behind male chastity has always intrigued me. I have tried a few different devices here and there and used them with limited success. I stared this blog to be a resource for others who are interested in the topic and to provide a honest, straight forward review of whether it is really possible to wear a chastity belt 24/7 and still go about your daily life and most importantly does a chastity belt do what it says it is going to do; keep someone chaste. There are other reviews out there but I believe most of these are more fantasy then fact. I am going to give people straight talk about the problems and successes. I believe people should know the good and the bad before spending up to $1500 on one of these devices.

The belt that I am going to review for this blog is what I believe to be the best one on the market today the Carrara Concept belt: www.carrara-designs.be The belt I have is their new carrara model and not pictured on their website yet, but it their top of the line model. I was impressed with the engineering that went into these belts and when a opportunity came about to get it fitted in person when Carrara came to Chicago, I decided to jump on it.

By the way, if there is another manufacture out there who reads this and thinks their belt is better and would like me to do a fair and impartial comparison and review I would certainly do that.

So what are my expectations going into this? Well to be honest while I always wanted to find belt that really would work and I could wear 24 hours a day. I didn’t really think it was possible, so call me a skeptic. To be a successful chastity belt here was what it needed to do:

1. Be comfortable enough to wear 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I knew this wasn’t going to be like wearing underwear, but I had to be able to move normally, without pain or pressure points. I need to be able to go to the bathroom in it and keep it moderately clean while on so there are no hygiene issues. It needs to be able to be worn discretely.

2. It has to be secure and prevent masturbation and orgasm. This is the point right?

3. It has to be built to last. If you spend that much money on a belt you want to know that you can rely on it holding together.

4. Good customer service. Since this is such and expensive item, and there is probably a lot of customization that needs to take place, the manufacture needs to be a resource to ensure success.

So how has Carrara done so far with my expectations? Well stay tuned for my next blog and I will tell you.  Here are some pictures of the belt.
